Buying a car in Corning

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Rent it before you buy it

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing.

A buyer's checklist

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired.

While you shop

Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives.

Our area, and Corning

Our only location is in Toronto; Corning is outside the area we serve. Corning lies about 254 km from our location in Toronto, well outside our delivery area of about 250 km.

For buying in Corning, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. If you want to check something for Corning, send a request; a person replies honestly. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
