Buying a car in Cramer

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

What to check before you buy

Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

Bridging the gap

Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives.

The short answer for Cramer

There is no CarmaCars location in Cramer; everything we do starts in Toronto. About 372 km from our location in Toronto, Cramer is too far for our delivery area of about 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. For anything about Cramer, a request reaches a person who answers honestly. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
