Buying a car in El Descanso

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Drive it like you own it

Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer.

Questions to ask

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

Between cars

Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.
