Buying a car in Ellis

We are a rental company, not a dealer or a lender, and this page explains how renting can help a buyer. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Rent it before you buy it

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

A buyer's checklist

Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

Before your next car arrives

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

What we cover

We are based in Toronto; Ellis is not somewhere we have a location. About 1,435 km separate our location in Toronto and Ellis, far past our 250 km delivery area.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Shopping in Ellis? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Ask us about Ellis in a request; a person answers honestly. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.
