Buying a car in Gibson

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.

Questions to ask

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.

Between cars

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip.
