Shopping for a car in Grindstone

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

A test drive that lasts

Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

A buyer's checklist

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

Between cars

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.

Toronto based

Plainly: we do not have a location in Grindstone. CarmaCars is a Toronto company. By straight line Grindstone is about 1,805 km from central Toronto; by road it is farther, and beyond our 80 km delivery area.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Send a request with what you need in Grindstone, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
