Car Financing in Halfmoon, NY

Buying a car in Halfmoon

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Try it for a week first

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide.

Checks worth doing

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit.

A car meanwhile

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.

Where we work

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Halfmoon is outside our area. At about 461 km from our location in Toronto, Halfmoon is past the 250 km our delivery covers.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. For buying in Halfmoon, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you want to check something for Halfmoon, send a request; a person replies honestly. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.
