Shopping for a car in Haskell

Shopping for a car in Haskell? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Try it for a week first

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other.

Questions to ask

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Before your next car arrives

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.
