Buying a car in Hillside

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Drive it like you own it

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

A buyer's checklist

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

Bridging the gap

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip.
