Buying a car in Jerusalem

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Drive it like you own it

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

Questions to ask

Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

A car meanwhile

There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.

Before you plan around us

Everything CarmaCars does starts from Toronto, and we have no presence in Jerusalem. The distance is about 1,351 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 250 km.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Shopping in Jerusalem? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. For anything about Jerusalem, a request reaches a person who answers honestly. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.
