Buying a car in Lakeside

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

Before you sign

Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired.

A car meanwhile

There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one.

What we can do for Lakeside

Lakeside is not an area we serve directly. CarmaCars is based in Toronto. About 1,531 km in a straight line separate Lakeside from our location in Toronto; our delivery stops at about 250 km.

For buying in Lakeside, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Tell us what you are planning in Lakeside, and we will say what we can and cannot do. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
