Shopping for a car in Lap Corner

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Try it for a week first

Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

What to check before you buy

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

Bridging the gap

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.
