Car Financing: what CarmaCars does

We are a rental company, not a dealer or a lender, and this page explains how renting can help a buyer. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Try it for a week first

You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing.

What to check before you buy

Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

Bridging the gap

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week.

CarmaCars and Maní

We are based in Toronto; Maní is not somewhere we have a location. The straight-line distance from our location in Toronto to Maní is about 3,055 km, and we deliver within about 250 km.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. For buying in Maní, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. A request about Maní gets an honest answer from a person. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.
