Buying a car in Maple Point

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

Checks worth doing

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

Bridging the gap

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.

Renting from Toronto

We are based in Toronto; Maple Point is not somewhere we have a location. About 535 km in a straight line separate Maple Point from our location in Toronto; our delivery stops at about 250 km.
