Buying a car in Marriott

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Try it for a week first

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most.

A buyer's checklist

Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.

While you shop

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels.

Before you plan around us

Marriott is not an area we serve directly. CarmaCars is based in Toronto. Marriott lies about 1,766 km from our location in Toronto, well beyond our 250 km delivery area.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. For buying in Marriott, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Ask us about Marriott in a request; a person answers honestly. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
