Buying a car in Marshall

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Rent it before you buy it

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class.

A buyer's checklist

Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

Bridging the gap

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking.

What CarmaCars covers

CarmaCars works from Toronto. There is no CarmaCars branch in Marshall. With Marshall about 852 km from Toronto, it is outside the 250 km we cover.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Tell us what you are planning in Marshall, and we will say what we can and cannot do. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
