Buying a car in Mayhew

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Rent it before you buy it

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

What to check before you buy

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up.

A car meanwhile

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.

The short answer for Mayhew

Our only location is in Toronto; Mayhew is outside the area we serve. About 1,191 km from our location in Toronto, Mayhew is too far for our delivery area of about 250 km.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you are unsure whether we can help with Mayhew, ask; we answer plainly. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
