Buying a car in McBride

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Drive it like you own it

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

Checks worth doing

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

Before your next car arrives

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.
