Buying a car in McHenry

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Rent it before you buy it

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

Checks worth doing

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches.

Bridging the gap

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip.

Our area, and McHenry

We have one location, in Toronto, and none in McHenry. McHenry is about 635 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line, beyond the 250 km we deliver to.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Shopping in McHenry? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Still have a question about McHenry? Ask in a request, and we answer plainly. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
