Before you buy in McRae
Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.
Rent it before you buy it
Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.
Checks worth doing
Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.
Between cars
If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels.
