Buying a car in Midway

We are a rental company, not a dealer or a lender, and this page explains how renting can help a buyer. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Drive it like you own it

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other.

Before you sign

Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose.

Before your next car arrives

A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking.

Our reach

CarmaCars works from Toronto. There is no CarmaCars branch in Midway. At roughly 1,391 km from central Toronto in a straight line, Midway is outside our delivery area.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. For buying in Midway, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you still want to ask about Midway, send a request; we would rather say no than overpromise. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.
