Car Financing: what CarmaCars does

Shopping for a car in Peever Flats? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Try it for a week first

If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide.

What to check before you buy

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

Before your next car arrives

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives.

Toronto based

CarmaCars works from one location in Toronto and does not operate in Peever Flats. We cover about 250 km around Toronto; at about 1,409 km, Peever Flats is outside that.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there.
