Buying a car in Planet

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Why rent first

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

What to check before you buy

Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used.

Before your next car arrives

Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one.

Where we deliver

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Planet is outside our area. Our delivery area ends about 250 km from Toronto, and Planet is about 3,152 km out.

For buying in Planet, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Tell us what you need in Planet, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.

One more step

Rent it for a week, then decide: send a request with your dates.
