Buying a car in Rivers

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

A test drive that lasts

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.

What to check before you buy

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

While you shop

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.

Before you plan around us

We are based in Toronto; Rivers is not somewhere we have a location. Rivers lies about 1,732 km from our location in Toronto, well beyond our 250 km delivery area.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. For buying in Rivers, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Tell us what you are planning in Rivers, and we will say what we can and cannot do. Prices on this site are in Canadian dollars.
