Buying a car in Scott

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

Before you sign

Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

Between cars

A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one.
