Before you buy in Sliders
Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.
A test drive that lasts
Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.
Before you sign
Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used.
A car meanwhile
Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.
