Car Financing in Smithfield, RI

Before you buy in Smithfield

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

A test drive that lasts

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

Checks worth doing

Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Bridging the gap

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush.

The short answer for Smithfield

CarmaCars is not in Smithfield. Our one location is in Toronto. By straight line Smithfield is about 661 km from our location in Toronto; by road it is farther, and beyond our 250 km delivery area.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Smithfield? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. A request about Smithfield gets an honest answer from a person. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.
