Buying a car in Tomahawk
Shopping for a car in Tomahawk? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.
Why rent first
A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.
Checks worth doing
A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price.
Bridging the gap
Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.
