Car Financing in Troy, MN

Shopping for a car in Troy

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

Checks worth doing

Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

Bridging the gap

Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels.
