Car Financing: what CarmaCars does

Car Financing in Upper Mount Thom: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them, but we can still be useful. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Try it for a week first

A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Checks worth doing

For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

Bridging the gap

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.
