Buying a car in Wayne

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Try it for a week first

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

A buyer's checklist

Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

While you shop

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one.
