Buying a car in West

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most.

Before you sign

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose.

Between cars

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week.

Before you plan
