Car Financing: what CarmaCars does
There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.
Why rent first
A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.
Checks worth doing
Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.
Bridging the gap
Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush.
Where we deliver
Our only location is in Toronto; Wheeler is outside the area we serve. About 2,015 km from our location in Toronto, Wheeler is too far for our delivery area of about 250 km.
Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Wheeler? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Still have a question about Wheeler? Ask in a request, and we answer plainly. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
