Shopping for a car in Wrightwood
CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.
Why rent first
Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.
Questions to ask
Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes.
A car meanwhile
A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one.
