Buying a car in Custer

Shopping for a car in Custer? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. Leasing companies and dealers offer leases; CarmaCars does not, but a monthly rental needs no long commitment. A lease takeover or a new lease takes time to arrange; a monthly rental can cover that time.

Why rent first

Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Buying smart in Ontario

For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

Bridging the gap

A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive.

Distance, honestly

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Custer is outside the area we serve. The distance is about 2,230 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. For buying in Custer, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Custer if you like. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
