A monthly rental has no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days, and you can stop at the end of any of them. Leasing companies and dealers offer leases; CarmaCars does not, but a monthly rental needs no long commitment.
Rent it before you buy it
Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Try the car with the people who will ride in it most.
Questions to ask
Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN.
Before your next car arrives
Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere.
