Before you buy in Five Points
If you are looking for a lease, the honest answer first: CarmaCars does not offer it, but a rental can help along the way. We do not lease cars. A monthly rental has no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days, and you can stop at the end of any of them. A lease ties you to years of payments; a monthly rental can stop at the end of any booking, with no buyout.
Drive it like you own it
A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer.
Before you sign
Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches.
Before your next car arrives
Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.
