Car Leasing for Mackeys
To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. We do not lease cars. A monthly rental has no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days, and you can stop at the end of any of them. A lease ties you to years of payments; a monthly rental can stop at the end of any booking, with no buyout.
Rent it before you buy it
A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.
A buyer's checklist
Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.
Bridging the gap
Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive.
