Buying a car in Champlain

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. Tell us the car you are looking for and we will help where we can, and you can rent a similar car first. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try.

Why rent first

A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve.

A buyer's checklist

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

A car meanwhile

A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.

A note on distance

You will not find a CarmaCars location in Champlain; we work from Toronto. Measured in a straight line, Champlain is about 666 km from our location in Toronto; we deliver within about 250 km.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. For buying in Champlain, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. A request about Champlain gets an honest answer from a person. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.
