Buying a car in Coder

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. Shop for the car anywhere you like, and rent the same model from us first if we have it. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try.

Try it for a week first

Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve.

A buyer's checklist

Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up.

A car meanwhile

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip.

Honest about distance

CarmaCars is based in Toronto and has no location in Coder. With Coder about 280 km from Toronto, it is outside the 80 km we cover.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Ask us about Coder in a request; a person answers honestly. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.
