Buying a car in Dixie Pine

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. Shop for the car anywhere you like, and rent the same model from us first if we have it. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try.

Rent it before you buy it

Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing.

What to check before you buy

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN.

Before your next car arrives

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one.
