Shopping for a car in Downs

We are a rental company, not a dealer or a lender, and this page explains how renting can help a buyer. Shop for the car anywhere you like, and rent the same model from us first if we have it. Tell us the car you are looking for and we will help where we can, and you can rent a similar car first.

Drive it like you own it

You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

What to check before you buy

Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price.

Bridging the gap

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere.

What we cover

Shopping in Downs? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Write to us with the dates and the place, and we will give you a straight answer. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, with tax added in the offer.
