Buying a car in Iris

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. We are happy to point you in the right direction, and to rent you a similar car to try. Shop for the car anywhere you like, and rent the same model from us first if we have it.

Rent it before you buy it

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.

Checks worth doing

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.

Bridging the gap

There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.

What CarmaCars covers

Everything CarmaCars does starts from Toronto, and we have no presence in Iris. Iris lies about 2,690 km from our location in Toronto, well beyond our 250 km delivery area.

Shopping in Iris? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Need something in Iris? Send a request and a person replies with an honest answer. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.

One more step

Send a request to rent the model you are thinking of buying.
