Buying a car in Springview

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. A rental of the same model for a week shows how it fits your commute, your parking and your family. Tell us the car you are looking for and we will help where we can, and you can rent a similar car first.

A test drive that lasts

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

A buyer's checklist

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN.

Bridging the gap

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.
