Buying a car in Two Strike

We are a rental company, not a dealer or a lender, and this page explains how renting can help a buyer. Tell us the car you are looking for and we will help where we can, and you can rent a similar car first. A rental of the same model for a week shows how it fits your commute, your parking and your family.

Try it for a week first

Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

What to check before you buy

Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

A car meanwhile

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.
