Thinking of buying the 2012 Chevrolet Aveo?
We are a rental company, not a dealer, so there is no 2012 Chevrolet Aveo for sale by us right now. Thinking about the 2012 Chevrolet Aveo? Here are the numbers in plain words and what to check.
A buyer's checks
Owners filed 1 complaints with NHTSA, most often about air bags, electrical system and engine; have those parts checked. A pre-purchase inspection at a shop you choose is money well spent. Check whether every recall was done, by the VIN, before you pay. Look at the tires, brakes and battery; they are costly to replace.
Reading the spec sheet
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
A good match for
It suits a stretch between cars, by the week or the month. It suits a weekend away when the train does not reach where you are going.
Practical details
A car body like this keeps the weight low, so it feels settled on the highway.
Drive it on your own roads
A test week in the Aveo tells you more than any review. Rent the Aveo first, and buy only if it fits your life. Drive the Aveo on your commute before you commit to it.
Which one to look for
Ask the seller which trim it is; badges can be swapped and options vary. Look at a few listings of the same year and trim to get a feel for fair prices. If two trims share a powertrain, the difference is equipment, which you can check in person.
Money matters
Ask what a set of tires costs for this trim; sizes and prices vary. Get an insurance quote for this exact model before you buy; rates differ a lot between models.
One more step
A rental request is free; the offer shows the full price.
Rent it for a week before you buy
A week of your own driving tells you more than a test drive: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Rent a 2012 Chevrolet Aveo from us first.
Find me this car
Tell us your budget and when you want to buy; we look for a 2012 Chevrolet Aveo for you and reply within one business day.
