Thinking of buying the 1990 GMC WIS?
We are a rental company, not a dealer, so there is no 1990 GMC WIS for sale by us right now. This page helps you judge the 1990 GMC WIS before you buy one anywhere.
Before you sign for the WIS
Look at the tires, brakes and battery; they are costly to replace. A private seller in Ontario must give you a Used Vehicle Information Package. Check whether every recall was done, by the VIN, before you pay. Have a mechanic inspect a used one before you buy it.
What the specs mean
The EPA does not rate this model year for fuel use; heavier trucks and vans are often not rated.
When the WIS makes sense
It suits visitors who want a familiar car for a week in town. It suits a family trip where everyone and everything fits in one car.
What the WIS is like
As a car, it has a closed trunk that keeps luggage out of sight.
Rent it for a week first
Try the WIS on your commute, then decide. A week of your own driving tells you more than a test drive: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Renting first costs a fraction of the price of buying the wrong car.
Picking a year and a trim
A newer year is not always better; check what changed before paying more for it. Set a budget that includes tax, licensing, insurance and the first set of tires. Ask the seller which trim it is; badges can be swapped and options vary.
Running costs
Get an insurance quote for this exact model before you buy; rates differ a lot between models. Ask what a set of tires costs for this trim; sizes and prices vary.
Next step
Rent it for a week, then decide: send a request with your dates.
