Lease a Car: what CarmaCars does

Lease a Car in Reader: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them, but we can still be useful. Leasing companies and dealers offer leases; CarmaCars does not, but a monthly rental needs no long commitment. We do not lease cars. A monthly rental has no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days, and you can stop at the end of any of them.

Try it for a week first

Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer.

A buyer's checklist

Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

Bridging the gap

Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking.

Reach and distance

Our only location is in Toronto; Reader is outside the area we serve. About 1,023 km separate our location in Toronto and Reader, far past our 250 km delivery area.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. A request about Reader gets an honest answer from a person. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
