Buying a car in Bartlett

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells. Between cars? Rent one by the week or the month while you decide what to do with yours.

Try it for a week first

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

Before you sign

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Between cars

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.
