Trade In: what CarmaCars does

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. Selling a car can take weeks; a weekly rental means you do not have to keep it until it sells. We do not buy cars or take trade-ins. If you would rather keep your car and have it earn, our owner program rents it out for you.

Drive it like you own it

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class.

Buying smart in Ontario

Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

Bridging the gap

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed.

Renting from Toronto

CarmaCars works from Toronto. There is no CarmaCars branch in Bashantic. With Bashantic about 3,231 km from Toronto, it is outside the 80 km we cover.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. If you want to check something for Bashantic, send a request; a person replies honestly. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
